As a Project Engineer, you will be empowered with the task of implementing and designing custom hardware and software used to control automated testing system.
In this role, you will also perform system integration and problem-solving, engaging with clients, and occasionally offering on-site assistance for delivered systems as required.
What you will do:
- Manage a cross-functional team of Applications Engineers, and Design Engineers for hardware interfaces in various tester platforms.
- Provide direction, coordination, planning and organization to overall Engineering Design Team assigned to a specific project.
- Capable of comprehensively capturing all customer needs and specifications for design scope and compliance.
- Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests from both customers and manufacturing.
- Evaluates and authorizes product specifications and customer user documentation for the product.
- Understand the procedure and all documentation requirements for a system, including cables, chassis, circuit cards, mechanical assemblies, and software.
- Examine data, present test findings, and implement necessary system design alterations to enhance robustness and performance.
- Identify technical problems and suggest viable solutions.
What we are looking for:
- Proficiency in a high-level programming language, as well as circuit design and analysis.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Demonstrates a keen interest in exploring and engaging with test and measurement industry technologies, coupled with an ability to swiftly grasp relevant technology, systems, and readily available commercial components.
- Multitask between concurrent projects.
- Possesses outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, adept documentation skills, exceptional organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective time management skills, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate efficiently within a team-based development setting.
Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Understand IPC Standards
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, lift up to 15 lbs., and navigate various departments in the facilities.
