This position is responsible for managing professional services implementations from start to finish and then providing ongoing support as needed. Project types include cloud services implementations, office wide hardware upgrades, special software implementations, and consultation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work within a small team to perform implementations of professional services
- Master new technologies as needed to perform implementations
- Adapt to existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems
- Ability to present information and participate in productive conversation during meeting to improve overall product or service experiences
- Pre-Sales Technical Consulting including the production of Technical Requirements and Statements of Work
- Documentation of processes, procedures, configurations, and internal systems
- Analyze systems and workflows for project requirements
- Assist with building project scopes
- Configure Windows Server versions 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022+ both virtual machines and physical machines
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Remote Desktop Services infrastructure (Terminal Services)
- Work within Microsoft Windows Hyper-V and Failover Cluster Manager
- Administer and Implement Active Directory Domain Services including user administration, group policy creation and administration, security groups, DNS, file shares, and troubleshooting.
- Develop scripts using PowerShell or other technologies to assist with the management or configuration of both internal and external systems
- Receive, prepare and configure, ship or deliver customer equipment and systems
- Configure firewalls and other enterprise networking equipment from scratch
- Configure Windows workstations
- Configuration of peripherals and specialty equipment
- Provide thorough long term support by deploying software upgrades, patches, or new/fresh installations
- Ability to master new software quickly
- Perform post deployment testing
- Provide professional client communication regarding the status or state of professional services projects and products with an emphasis on excellent customer service skills
- Assist with escalations from the Technical Support Department when needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar (certifications and/or experience may also work)
- 3+ years of server administration experience
- Windows server administration including; Active Directory DS, DNS, Remote Desktop Services, Hyper-V, Failover Cluster Manager
- 5+ years in the IT field
- Strong critical thinking
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Demonstrate a strong aptitude for documenting technical processes in detail
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Familiarity with PowerShell Scripting
- Printers, scanners, and peripheral device installation and configuration
- Ability to work well on a team
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- WatchGuard firewall experience or certification
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar
