Overview:
We are currently searching for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will support a wide range of engineering projects from concept through construction. The ideal candidate must have a desire to learn and execute work in a wide array of disciplines. Projects are primarily industrial related – including civil/structural, industrial, conceptual design studies, cathodic protection, construction oversight, and data analysis/organization. Projects range from one-day field studies to multi-year projects, beginning with conceptual visions through detailed engineering and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute field investigations to gather information for proposals and design.
- Assist project managers in coordinating project activities.
- Take ownership of project management responsibilities as required.
- Develop, review & markup engineering drawings for CAD staff.
- Develop conceptual designs using AutoCAD and manual drafting.
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Review bid packages to determine the scope of work and develop proposals.
- Track project progress and generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
- Develop, review & markup engineering specifications.
- Review contractor submittals against contract requirements.
- Develop advanced spreadsheets to organize client data.
- Learn general civil, industrial, and cathodic protection design and implementation under the supervision of a P.E. and through field experience.

- Proficient problem-solving skills, utilizing logical reasoning and mathematics to evaluate alternative solutions.
- Ability to interpret and comprehend engineering drawings, calculations, and contract documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Must actively listen, understand perspectives, and ask pertinent questions.
- Strong organizational skills, managing multiple tasks and stakeholders under pressure.
- Self-motivated with the ability to inspire and motivate others toward project goals.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identity Credential (TWIC) and Basic Plus Orientation training from the Houston Area Safety Council.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of working in diverse construction site environments with varying environmental conditions.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as reaching, carrying loads, and traversing uneven terrain.
- Willingness to observe construction progress outdoors may involve exposure to dust, noise, and adverse weather conditions.
Work Location:
This is an on-site position located near the Houston Ship Channel. Light travel may be required to project sites in and around the Gulf Coast area.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
