What can you expect?
As Project Engineer II you are responsible for assisting the Construction Management Team with field project management in locations throughout Alaska and the Pacific Regions. You are responsible for creating and maintaining project records, reports and assisting the Construction Management Team with field project management. You will assist the Project Manager with plans development and data entry into RMS or comparable software for project correspondence and act as a Project Manager as needed.
How will you do it?

  • Assist the Construction Team including the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Quality Control, and Superintendent with job related tasks.
  • Prepare daily project reporting including timekeeping; environmental and permit compliance; daily reports.
  • Provide input for project plans development and assists with writing project plans. Lead project planning and RFPs.
  • Create and maintain project reports including inspection reports, job diaries, photographs, and video logs, and subcontractor reports.
  • Understand the project contract.
  • Assist Project Manager with updates to project schedule. Manages scope and schedule.
  • Maintains documentation in RMS or comparable project document/correspondence software.
  • Coordinate meetings and take meeting notes.
  • Provide work inspection and logging when required.
  • Prepare correspondence as needed.
  • Maintains effective communication and coordination among all project participants.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Functions:
This position may direct the work of craft and other project workers as needed and directed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of construction-related computer applications such as database, spreadsheet, scheduling, and job costing software and other standard business applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to communicate with employees, business partners, and clients professionally and effectively via written and verbal communication methods.
  • Ability to read and write technical documents and plans, routine reports, and correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others; ability to work with employees, business partners, and customers in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make decisions based on available information. Ability to use judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively plan and organize duties to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

Who is Brice Solutions looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other 4-year degree.
  • 5 to 10 years construction experience required.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Valid state driver's license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Brice Solutions' Driving Policy. Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ability to obtain passport and capability to travel internationally and work in remote locations.
  • Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current First aid and CPR/AED certification preferred.
  • Construction Quality Management, AKCESCL, OSHA 30 /EM385-1-1 certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of RMS or comparable project document/correspondence software recommended.
