We are seeking qualified Diesel Calibration engineers with 1-3 years of experience to fill multiple entry-level engineering positions in a highly dynamic diesel engine development market. This Project Engineer position is an opportunity for the right candidate to experience a wide scope of state-of-the-art automotive technology ranging from engine to vehicle and concept to production development. As a Project Engineer specializing in diesel engine calibration and development, you will be responsible for supporting the creation and calibration of base engine controls, aftertreatment controls and on-board diagnostic (OBD) systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for general diesel engine development work and testing as well as validation and certification activities performed on-road as well as on chassis and engine dynos. Working with highly motivated individuals from across the globe on a variety of engines, vehicles and markets, the Project Engineer will be able to grow their scope of experience with technology used across the globe. This Project Engineer position requires a highly motivated individual with the eagerness to learn and make a positive contribution.
Requirements:
- Strong presentation skills
- Professional communication skills to interact with clients
- Basic understanding of regulatory requirements - CARB, EU, EPA, WWH
- Experience in the engine, aftertreatment and/or OBD calibration/certification process preferred
- Strong fundamentals in Diesel engine operation
- Strong fundamentals in exhaust aftertreatment systems
- Experience in the field of automotive sensors and actuators
- Vehicle testing and emissions characterization skills
- Strong in diesel engine combustion performance and emissions criteria
- Knowledge of control system operation and optimization techniques
- Knowledge on engine setup in test cell
- Knowledge on vehicle and engine interaction
- Knowledge of calibration tools such as INCA, ATI-VISION, CALDESK, CANalyzer
- Knowledge of handling test environments such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
- Skilled in handling MS-Word, Excel, Project, Outlook
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field required
- Candidates with Master's degree preferred
- Relevant course work and in-depth knowledge is preferred
- Calibration and / or development experience with diesel engines preferred
- Working experience with some or all of the following tools:
- ETAS INCA
- ATI Vision
- Vector CANape, CANalyzer
- Matlab/Simulink
