RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide oversight of Project Control functions including policy, process, and procedures associated with overall operational needs and requirements
· Liaison with departments to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness for overall project business operations
· Facilitate the coordination between business operations and Project Controls, including corporate and regional business functions
· Provide functional advice and support to managers in the organization for development, implementation, and maintenance of field job cost processes
· Establish and monitor project staff; including superintendents, engineers and field supervision on job cost & forecasting tools and techniques
· Train/review project procedures and processes during job start up cycle, to ensure that projects runs efficiently
· Provide job cost system technical support and training for new and existing employees
· Review/approve budget & contract change orders, as required prior to entry into cost system to ensure accuracy
· Audit and review monthly and or quarterly large projects forecast, as required
· Audit large project quantities
· Manage job cost accounting functions
· Prepare and present monthly financial reports to upper management concerning cost, schedule, and forecasts
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
· 5+ years’ experience in heavy civil construction
- Experience in scheduling, claims, management or Project Control required
· Advanced understanding of the application of Project Controls in the construction environment
· Ability to provide guidance and development for all stakeholders of the business and Project Controls functions
· Ability to manage multiple priorities with a close attention to detail
· Demonstrated MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) skills
· Ability to work well with all levels of staff as well as external customers
· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
· Advanced written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information
Salary: $85,000-$100,000 DOE
