The Construction Inspector will observe and document construction progress to ensure works are being carried out according to the desired quality, as stated in the contract documents, including architect’s plans and specifications. The Inspector will prepare and submit written reports with photos, including any issues that may have arisen during the construction process, and submit them in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Reviews, understands, and becomes well-acquainted with all construction documents, including but not limited to contract documents, plans, specifications, schedules, permits, insurances, certifications for payment.
2. Visits construction site regularly and coordinates access with General Contractor.
3. Actively observes, verifies, and document daily construction progress.
4. Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports
5. Coordinates visits for important project milestones or construction activities that require special attention.
6. Identify potential risks and uncertainties in projects, applying skills and experience to verified contractor’s mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
7. Attends construction coordination meetings and assists the Program Manager in the resolution of issues that may arise during construction.
