Responsibilities:
- Organizing and controlling project tasks
- Verifying compliance to project specifications to ensure that customer requirements and performance
- Standards are met by contractors
- Developing project specifications in coordination with the Project Manager
- Performing technical studies and cost estimates
- Monitoring project schedule and progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
- Confirming systems performance by designing and conducting tests
- Preparing project status reports
- Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
- Performing site inspections
- Maintain JSM's professional standards and enhance company reputation.
- Safety and compliance training as required.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned
- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering
- Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Basic Microsoft Office Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
- Ability to multi-task on projects
- Flexibility to travel on a regular basis.
- Ability to work irregular hours (such as late shifts) when needed.
- Ability to work extra time when needed to meet project deadlines.
- Prior experience working on Automated Material Handling Systems Operations is highly desired – preferred.
- Experience with project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) – preferred.
- Working knowledge of CAD and/or Revit – preferred.
- Regularly required to stand, sit for long periods of time, bend, use hands to manipulate (type), talk and hear; walk and sit.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral visions, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must be able to successfully pass a drug screening, a drivers' license check and validation, a ten (10) year Criminal History Records Check (CHRC), federal fingerprinting and security threat assessment as well as airport security badging.
