Job Summary
The Project Engineer will assist the Engineering Manager in planning, designing and coordinating all capital projects including the installation of new equipment, refurbishing of existing equipment and commissioning. The incumbent will drive non-routine maintenance activities and manage vendors for upkeep of building and property assets.
Position Responsibilities
- Plan, design and install new equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations and Maintenance departments.
- Provide technical support in the acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
- Research new industry developments in engineering techniques, machines, equipment, materials, etc. and incorporate the innovations to existing operations.
- Enforce departmental and plant objectives in areas of Safety, Quality, and Sanitation and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
- Coordinate building preventative maintenance activities and repairs with plant and area lands.
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards are incorporated into new designs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, interpret, and create engineering drawings
- AutoCAD proficient
- Capital and plant operations (maintenance) project management
- BS Degree in Engineering
- Advanced electrical fundamentals knowledge, industrial medium voltage, power distribution, NFPA 70e trained

- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements of OSHA, FDA & EPA
