Position:- Project Controls Specialist
Location:- Remote
Duration:- 6-month contract with possible extension
Job Describation:
The client is seeking one consultant to provide services related to Project Controls Schedule and Cost management. The Consultant is expected to act in an advisory capacity to support the Manager of Project Scheduling as well as the Manager of Financial Controls.
The Consultant scope will include the following:
1. Review and document current key processes undertaken by the Scheduling and Cost Management teams as it relate to monthly update cadence and documenting/reporting of information.
2. Observe all regular Project Controls-related meetings throughout the term of engagement.
3. Meet, on a regular basis, with the Managers of Scheduling and Cost controls to review key findings from engagement as well as key observations and risks found during project update meetings.
4. Meet, on a regular basis, with the Managers of Scheduling and Cost controls to review and recommend incorporation of best practices for Project Controls. In this way the Consultant is expected to serve in a mentorship capacity for the Managers.
5. Update, on a monthly basis, in collaboration with the Managers of Scheduling and Cost controls, the Project Controls NRR (issues log).
The engagement term is (6) six months.
It is expected that the consultant will expend a total of 60 hours per month throughout this engagement.
The majority of this work may be conducted remotely, with an expectation that the consultant shall be present at the NYPA White Plains Headquarters a minimum of (1) one time as directed by the team.
