Georgia-Pacific is currently recruiting for a Project Controls Scheduling Lead to support the Project Services team for the Corporate Projects and Engineering Group. This group consists of individuals across the United States working with our 22 continuous manufacturing facilities on capital project execution. The Scheduling Lead will be a leader that will drive the Project Controls agenda and best practices through tools, process improvements, and alignment for reporting. The Project Scheduling Capability is an integral part of all the other Project Services Capabilities which contributes to the success and safety of our projects. While the actual task of scheduling may be done along with, and/or through our partners, in this role you will have the opportunity to develop and ensure we are following best practices while involving our key partners.

This position is a remote position with travel involved. The amount of travel would be up to 25% dependent on business needs.

Our Team

Our team throughout the United States is made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds supporting Project Controls capabilities across the Georgia Pacific Organization. The project Services team builds and strengthens relationships with industry wide partners to successfully execute projects throughout the United States. Our team comprised of Project Controls leads and capability leaders support project best practices during front end load through closeout.

What You Will Do

  • Development of Schedule Best Practices Documentation for Portfolio Management, Capital Projects, and Outages
  • Develop Schedule Risk Assessment Process
  • Development of key Benchmarking Practices and KPIs
  • Development of LoadSpring online environment
    • User Set up and Access
    • Permissions and Security Levels Created
    • Resources Strategy for Enterprise use
    • Layouts and Reports
  • Adhoc Schedule Audits as needed
  • Opportunity to Schedule on select priority jobs
  • Lead Interactive Planning Sessions as needed
  • Strategically work with other discipline leads to ensure BPP integration with Scheduling is efficient, complementary, utilized
  • New Employee/Contractor onboarding and training as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience using Primavera and MS Project scheduling software
  • Experience building detailed complex schedules that are multi disciplined and in longer duration
  • Experience using Loadspring Environment
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 10+ years Project Controls experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using Ecosys EPPM software
  • Experience working with risk analysis tools such as @Risk
  • Experience working with multiple ERP systems including SAP
  • Project Management Practices (PMP) and/or ACCE Certifications
  • Experience leading schedule development on projects over $50MM
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or Science
  • Indirect leadership experience

For this role, we anticipate paying $ 100k - $150k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
