Your day to day tasks will include full-scale electrical and controls system design of complex custom automation systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics in a team oriented setting.

They're a leader in their industry and are looking for this right Electrical Controls Project Engineer who is ready to grow with them and take on the of challenge of engineering complex, custom, automation systems.

Position Overview

  • Responsible for the complete electrical and controls system design, programming and delivery of complex, custom automation systems
  • Design and program reliable and efficient custom automation systems at the lowest cost while meeting delivery objectives
  • Assist the project manager during design review meetings to discuss the specifications as well as cost effective and time saving design concepts to meet customer needs
  • Create and submit detailed electrical and controls system design schedules to the project manager for each project
  • Responsible for comprehensive controls design for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, lubrication, safety and robotics systems
  • Responsible for programming and commissioning of custom automation systems


Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering is required
  • Ideally more than 10 years electrical and controls engineering experience in a custom automation systems or custom machinery setting is required
  • Familiarity with controls systems design in welding, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic, and/or assembly processes is a plus
  • Experience working with customers and suppliers and as well as in system commissioning
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical software for electrical schematics generation is a must
  • Strong familiarity with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC programming from scratch is required
  • Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
