We are seeking a Project Controls Manager with 10+ years of Project Controls experience. Familiar with Engineering deliverables and phases. Equipment Procurement cycles and construction sequence and work packaging preferred. Must be proactive and self-motivated to coordinate the building and maintenance of project cost reports, engineering status reports with a focus on performance and analysis. Must communicate effectively with project stakeholders including Project Management, Clients and Engineering.

Compensation: $90,000- $156,000 *anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity. The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting. There will also be a per diem and overtime available for this role.

We are seeking a Project Controls Manager who is very familiar with engineering deliverables and phases. Experience with equipment procurement cycles and construction sequence and work packaging preferred. Must be proactive and self-motivated to coordinate the building and maintenance of project schedules and communicate effectively with project stakeholders including Project Management, Clients and Engineering. You will attend meetings and participate in client field visits as needed within Washington.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the focal point with the client and any contractor Project Controllers as appropriate to ensure schedule and progress are reported accurately, ensure alignment with the project reporting requirements, and ensure timely and accurate progress reporting.
  • Develops the overall project schedule through the Interactive Planning (IAP) process.
  • Monitor overall project / assignment progress status, achievement and non-achievement of major milestones and analyze and forecast performance in relation to plan.
  • Identification, monitoring and reporting against the project critical path providing early warning to the Project Manager/Director of any potential slippages.
  • Report project status and KPI to management.
  • Develops the project Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Accountable for accuracy and timeliness of S-curves and histograms.
  • Accountable for delivery of the projects fully resourced, logic linked Primavera P6 project schedules to the agreed project and program requirements.
  • Accountable for providing analysis of current and future resource needs for the project to the Project Manager and Project Controls Team Manager.
  • Manages and oversees the recovery process following identified slippages or significant float erosion.
  • Advocate and promote the project change management system and facilitate assurance activities to ensure the process is adhered to.
  • Serve as host for ongoing internal team and client team Project Controls meetings (Schedule, and Progress).
  • Assist with the preparation of proposal schedules.
  • Lead major schedule risk analysis workshops / sessions both internally and with clients.
  • Accountable for understanding and adhering to Client specific guidelines, assurance processes and requirements.
  • Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of all planning and risk deliverables prior to issue to internal or external customer.
  • Ensures that lessons learned are captured and implemented in support of continuous improvement.
  • Promotes communication and teamwork within group and project.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have strong skills in Primavera P6 or other scheduling software (i.e., Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Suite.
  • Must be able to process and comprehend project design requirements, schedule impacts, client impacts, and to make recommendations about project requirements to ensure estimate and schedule meet all the design criteria.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ work experience in heavy construction and with construction schedule management.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Overtime may be necessary as workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Job duties will generally be performed at a Client’s office, client site, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Day to day job direction will typically be lead by our Clients designated project leader.
  • Conditions and/or schedule will vary at each Client location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
  • Candidates will be required to follow our clients' site based rules and protocols regarding infectious diseases.
