Position Title:  Project Controls Governance Analyst II – P2

Position Summary

As a Project Controls Specialist II on the Network Business Performance - Operational Controls team you are responsible for engaging with Controls Leads and Network Teams from across the Organization to conduct and assist with moderately complex Controls analysis.  As a PCA II you shall analyze District and Regional level project data to identify variances and potential exposures traceability and project insight to cost, scope, contractual, and compliance requirements while proactively identifying data integrity issues and analyzing user experience and compliance items.  Your responsibilities also include providing input on improvements for financial, schedule and compliance outcomes.  Must be a positive minded, quick learner with experience in Project Controls, financial (actual, budget, forecast, Earned Value) analysis, or data analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, review, and analyze Regional PD level performance data on bi-weekly cadence to identify Opportunities which may need further attention (focus on Risk, Cost, Compliance, Schedule, EV) - Provide results to Controls leadership of Region.

  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly District level performance data to identify trends in compliance, common risks, variances, schedule, EV data, unfavorable opportunities, and other exposures - Provide results to Controls leadership of Region.

  • Prepare, review, and analyze Regional level performance data on quarterly cadence to identify trends in compliance, common risks, variances, schedule, EV data, unfavorable opportunities, and other exposures - Provide results to Controls leadership of Region.

  • Assist Controls Lead of Region on delivery of Regional PD / District/ Regional exposures, insight on connection to Opportunity outcomes, and resolution recommendations to management to ensure understanding and allow them to make informed project and program decisions. 

  • Host ad-hoc Controls / EcoSys training sessions to help teams understand how their performance values are driven and corrective actions.

  • Participate in the creation / maintenance of all Knowledge Mgt Training to be delivered to internal/external Customers at varying levels.

  • Provide feedback on user improvement suggestions & systematic issues to Controls leadership for evaluation & prioritization.

  • Seek opportunities to enhance existing analyses and/or create new insights to Opportunity, District, or Regional performance.  Review proposals with Controls leadership for prioritization.

  • Create/upload stagnant records for maintaining historical files assisting with compliance and performance trending.

  • Partner with Analysts and Controls Leaders for training on current systems, analysis, reporting requirements, and trending to help enable professional growth.

  • Validation of new Opportunities that have come into EcoSys environment to ensure all required information is complete to progress into Controls environment.  Provide updated validations to Controls Lead of Region.

  • Ambassador of the Program Controls Department for respective District(s).  Creating/developing relationships within all functional teams at CCI to ensure adoption of the Controls Program and serve as a catalyst for feedback from Stakeholders.

 

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Project or Construction Management, and/or Data Science/Analytics preferred, or, equivalent work experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred, though not required

 

 Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Analytical experience - three (3)+ years experience in executing analytical project efforts
  • Business Acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be an accountable owner, pursuing excellence, and embracing stewardship
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to interface effectively with multiple levels within the organization
  • Experience in capital-intensive construction or engineering industries; if telecom a plus
  • Experience working with schedule controls, financial controls, analytic models, and process documentation a plus
  • Knowledge of MS Office required
  • Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus – if no experience, learning basic/novice skills will occur
  • Knowledge of Power BI is a plus – if no experience, learning basic/novice skills will occur
  • Knowledge of telecom and network installations

 

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to coordinate, host, and recap conference calls or other work meeting initiatives
  • Ability to explain various budgeting, risk and financial information in plain terms
  • Ability to recognize problems (drawing conclusions from data), recommend solutions, and collaboratively drive to implement changes
  • Ability to travel domestically as required
  • Experience with Oracle Financial system, JDE, or similar ERP systems
  • Knowledge in Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, or other scheduling tools a plus
  • Knowledge of Project Management skills a plus
  • PM/PMP training or background a plus

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office on Monday through Thursday.  On Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.  There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.  

Compensation Information:  For New York, Colorado, California and Washington residents the hiring range offered for this position is $68,560 - $98,555 annually. In addition to salary, employees are eligible for an annual bonus of up to 15% of annual salary. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
