We are currently recruiting for a Project Controller for our Concord Pipeline Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for Cost, Schedule and Progress management reporting to the Project Manager for capital projects.
About the Role
- Assists with proposal efforts for cost/scheduling activities.
- Implements Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for control of work to be performed as defined by the contract.
- Participate in project strategic planning.
- Establish and maintain schedule, cost, and progress controls for engineering projects.
- Analyze variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan.
- Implement and operate Ausenco systems and procedures associated with: Estimating, Planning, Cost Management, Progress Measure.
- Lead development of Project Status Reports, monthly reports to clients and internal weekly reports. Assists project management with presentation of the reports to client management.
- Coordinate multi-office and work-sharing information.
- Interprets contract conditions to ensure compliance. Coordinate project invoicing according to contractual terms and conditions.
- Provide meaningful, accurate historical project data.
About You
- 5 years previous experience in project controls positions
- Strong technical ability and analytical skills with high attention to details
- A combination of skill with project controls tools, estimating, cost engineering, budgets, scheduling, reporting, project management, and spreadsheets.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills are essential
- Strong computer skills in MS Word/Excel and PDF editing software. MS Project and MS Access experience a plus.
- Familiarity with Oracle Financial System an asset
- Ability to work in the office or a hybrid 3 office days and 2 home days format.
