Job Description
A Project Associate assists in the planning, execution, and completion of our active construction projects. You will work closely with our Project Manager, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Some of the Key Roles and Responsibilities for This Position are:
To provide management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Review architectural, engineering, and related drawings to ensure all specifications and regulations are followed.
Account for proper administration of construction contracts and obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
Prepare and submit estimates for identified additional work orders, and credits, and track change orders
Identify cost-saving opportunities and report cost overruns to project management.
Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and specifications.
Generate and maintain project progress reports, and budget financials for updates within the internal team.
Select and coordinate subcontractor work on various project phases.
Schedule project timelines for completion with logical patterns for resource utilization.
Oversee the performance of all trade contractors to ensure compliance company’s health and safety policies and practices
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
Prepare Pencil AIA Requisitions, and assist in the final submission packages for payment requisitions on active projects.
Assist with Certified Payroll preparation and distribution of required documents
Review project hazards and safety requirements with Project managers and on-site Project Site supervisors to conduct Job Hazard Analysis and Safety Quality Assurance.
Conduct inspections and quality checks at various project stages.
Ensure that workers and contractors adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
Address quality issues promptly and efficiently.
Be able to generate, track, and execute an accurate punch list and close out of jobs
Obtain the required guarantees, warranty documents, and manufacturer parts and labor certificates pertaining to each project.
The Experience, Skills & Knowledge You Bring
At least 2-3 years of project management experience such as assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity required.
Good verbal and written skills (English)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Knowledge of construction industry regulations and best practices.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing project requirements.
Familiarity with construction project management practices is an advantage.
Your Education and Certifications
BA in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or equivalent degree is required.
Graduate Engineers or Architects will be considered if additional training in Business Administration and Accounting are included.
A Valid Driver’s License in good standing is required, with access to a vehicle being preferred.
OSHA 30 is required
Scaffold 4 hours and 32 hours preferred
