Job Description and Duties

Under general direction of the Supervising Program Technician (SPT) III, the Program Technician (PT) III in the Problem Resolution Expedite Section analyzes and interprets criminal history documents and resolves all complex errors or omissions prior to submission for entry into the Automated Criminal History system. The PT III must have a thorough knowledge of various statutory code sections and the criminal justice process.

Working Conditions

This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies.

Department Information

This position is located in the California Justice Information Services Division, Bureau of Criminal Information & Analysis (BCIA), Applicant & Record Quality Services Branch (ARQSP), Record Quality Services Program (RQSP), Problem Resolution Expedite Section (PRES).
