Veterinary Technician Program Manager

The Veterinary Assistant Program Manager’s (PM) primary function is to counsel, advise, and continuously interact with the students as they are going through the in-home study portion of the program. The primary daily tasks are to respond to student’s inquiries, and ensure students are prepared for the externship as well as on track for completing the program in a timely fashion.

The Veterinary Assistant Program Manager (VAP PM) must be a registered/Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician.

Essential Functions:

· Respond to student inquiries via email and telephone promptly

· Ensure students maintain satisfactory academic progress by interacting and guiding them

· Maintain detailed and accurate student records

· Provide academic counseling based on ABC’s proprietary curriculum

· Maintain a supportive and motivating learning environment for online students

· Perform data entry

Additional Responsibilities:

· Report to management when faced with any challenges

· Stay current on daily task list

· Attend department and company meetings necessary to perform job duties via teleconference

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Type a minimum of 40 WPM

· Computer literacy

· Experience with Microsoft Office

· Internet and email savvy

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

· Excellent active listening skills

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Excellent customer service and people skills

· Ability to control conversational flow

· Well-organized and self-driven

· Strong work ethic

· Ability to work independently

Education and Experience:

· 3 years work experience as a Veterinary Technician

· Current Registered/Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician

Technology/Work Environment - To Do This Job You Must Have:

• Reliable high-speed internet connection
• A dedicated work space including office furniture (table, chair, etc.)
• ABC will provide a desktop computer for use during employment

Physical Requirements:

· Work a 20-hour workweek during common business hours Monday-Friday

· Ability to perform repetitious motions for prolonged periods of time

· Performing general office duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
