Job Responsibilities:
- Plans, develops, and manages programs that advance the current initiatives and activities of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
- Oversees activities including program planning, recruitment initiatives, mentoring activities, summer and yearly pathway programming, affinity group work, and other outreach activities.
- Assists the Associate Dean in the recruitment of students.
- Assists with programming to ensure student engagement.
- Secures external funding to support the pathway program initiates.
- Writes grants as needed to support current and future initiatives.
- Tracks student placement into health profession majors and careers.
- Utilizes social media to spread awareness of initiatives.
- Travels to recruitment opportunities, including but not limited to high school and college recruitment and career fairs.
- Collaborates with people at various levels to work collaboratively to achieve program goals.
- Displays strong program management skills as well as strong written and oral communication.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Education: Bachelor's degree in education, healthcare, science, or other related field is required. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Qualified candidates should have an understanding of current issues and challenges facing students representing diverse backgrounds. Experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment.
