ResponsibilitiesThis position serves as an integral member of the School of Information's team to support the development and delivery of marketing and communications promotional materials related to institutional identity, in-house client support, and brand development. Plans, develops and executes the marketing and brand strategy for the recruitment of online and on-campus students, as well as the growth of the school's instructional, research, and service activities. Creates original layouts and designs for print and digital media and develops content for communications with the division's stakeholders. Plans, develops and executes academic marketing strategy for the recruitment of online and on-campus graduate students.
- Works collaboratively with the school's leadership team, student services staff, faculty, and college-level communication team to develop and oversee the execution of the marketing and brand strategy for the recruitment of online and on-campus students and growth of the school's instructional, research, and service activities. Assist in creating an atmosphere of creative brainstorming to meet the school's need for a positive and dynamic branding and marketing strategy.
- Creates content materials as needed for the advertisement of academic programs. Developing and executing academic marketing strategies for the recruitment of online and on-campus undergraduate and graduate students. Assisting with the development and maintenance of the school's website. Designing and developing graphics and multimedia to fulfill the school's marketing needs.
- Develops content for communications with School of Information stakeholders and executes messaging through these primary marketing channels: email promotions of programs and recruitment events to FSU students, students at other state universities, FSU alumni, social media campaigns for all undergraduate, master's degree and Ph.D. programs (primarily Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn); print/digital advertisements as needed for Undergraduate degree, Master's degree and Ph.D. programs; printed materials including brochures for each program (updated at least once annually; revisions as needed), posters, fliers as needed; web content (major update at least once annually; revisions as needed) for all graduate program pages (deadlines, curriculum, etc.); editorial content regarding graduate programs, including news releases; coordination of interviews, content or information requests; and written advertorials. Adheres to Florida State's branding standards to maintain a unified and consistent look.
- Researching and making recommendations on marketing opportunities that align with the school's budget and goals.
Performing administrative functions to support multimedia design and written communications work.
A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with marketing, integrated marketing, strategic communication, social media, and graphic design
