Department Information
The Georgia Institute of Technology, Scheller College of Business located in Atlanta, GA, offers Undergraduate, MBA (Full-time, Evening and Executive MBA), Ph.D., Graduate Certificate, Executive Education programs. The College is home to 10 Centers & Initiatives dedicated to cultivating the growth of our students. The College has approximately 200 employees (not including students): 80 tenured/tenure-track faculty, 90 staff members, and 30 lecturers, professors of the practice.

Scheller College of Business undergraduate program ranked top 20 in the nation for a third year in a row (U.S. News & World Report). The Evening MBA program was recognized as No. 1 in the state (U.S. News & World Report), and the Jones MBA Career Center remained top five in the world for the sixth year in a row (The Financial Times). In addition, Scheller's undergraduate and MBA specialties in business analytics, information systems, operations, and supply chain were ranked top 10 in the nation (U.S. News & World Report).

Job Summary

Provide administrative and strategic project support to the Scheller College of Business Dean and College Administrative Officer. This position will interact on a regular basis: C-suite CEOs and their staff, high level donors, prospective donors, invitees/attendees at Dean's events, College leadership, faculty, staff, students, College visitors, e.g., accreditation teams. This position typically will advise and counsel: Dean, College leadership, faculty, staff, students, alumni. This position will supervise: N/A

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Research, evaluate, and propose project solutions as they apply to Dean's events; meet with stakeholders to determine objectives and requirements for events and ensures that all needs are met. Oversee planning, logistics, and delivery of all internal and external Dean's events including external visits. Research, identify, and maintain an awareness of current best practices
Job Duty 2 -
Manage and coordinate initiatives, programs and projects as assigned in support of the Dean and College Administrative Officer. Provide project coordination and support for committees, events and projects as assigned
Job Duty 3 -
Oversee the management and approval process for all event-related expenses, monitor budget, and reconcile financial reports
Job Duty 4 -
Coordinate student, staff, and faculty awards administered by the Scheller College of Business, including interfacing with GT OHR to obtain USG approval, and ensuring payment is made in an accurate and timely manner
Job Duty 5 -
Manage financial activities for the assigned unit within Scheller College of Business
Job Duty 6 -
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five to seven years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience
Experience working in a project management role and experience successfully planning/delivering large, complex events

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE
Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar customer relationship manager (CRM) system. Familiarity with Workday financial systems or similar comprehensive financial software
SKILLS
The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, service excellence skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills

Salary range: $61,759.00 - $83,990.00

Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, GA)
