Form of workWithin our Global Privacy Program org, the Program Monitoring & Operational Oversight team is responsible for ensuring Meta has a timely and accurate understanding of the health of its most critical Privacy elements, at an actionable granularity. The team accomplishes this both by ensuring the right monitors are in place and by overseeing the monitors to ensure the company is taking timely, appropriate actions when needed. We are looking to hire Program Managers to drive cross-functional strategic and operational execution of initiatives related to our Privacy Monitoring efforts. This will involve a combination of stakeholder management, data analysis, problem solving, project/process management, and executive communications. A successful candidate will be able to quickly familiarize themselves with new products, tools, dashboards and concepts. They should be a systems thinker, who is highly organized and can translate problems into actionable strategies and tactics. While this role is not technical, it requires a keen interest in and aptitude for understanding how our technical control environment is constructed. Similarly, the right candidate should be intellectually curious and build familiarity and fluency with compliance/risk requirements in the areas of privacy, data protection, and security.
- Partner with stakeholders to build and “tune” monitors for relevant privacy elements (Safeguards, Programs, Risks, etc.)
- Oversee monitors for assigned domains, communicating with and escalating to monitor owners in the event of monitoring triggers
- Define and enforce governance standards for monitoring-related activities
- Build and deliver go-to-market materials for monitoring-related initiatives
- Report on monitoring initiatives and outcomes to privacy leadership
- Spot thematic trends and signals across the monitoring program to help identify root causes and potential remediations
- Drive greater consistency of process, practices and execution across Privacy Monitoring-related workstreams
- Drive consensus across stakeholder groups whose interests may not always align
- Project manage and prioritize work based on urgency and complexity while building operational cadences across technical and operational teams to coordinate work
- Set priorities, multi-task and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of work experience in consulting, business operations, program management, compliance/risk management, or other operational disciplines
- Experience running project management or program management initiatives (e.g. organization-wide initiatives, large scale change/integration management) with 10+ stakeholders
- Experience communicating with technical and business stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
- Experience simplifying concepts and developing collateral in various forms (briefs, slides, process diagrams)
- Track record of cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, embracing ambiguity and orienting towards actionable solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of work experience in consulting, business operations, program management or other operational disciplines
- Familiarity with Governance, Risk & Compliance concepts
- Familiarity with Privacy concepts
