Position Summary South Seattle College is looking to hire a Program Manager to support our Georgetown campus. Salary Range for this position is $51,000.00 to $62,000.00 annually, depending on experience. Initial review of application materials will begin Monday, March 18th .

Position Summary South Seattle College Georgetown is seeking a Program Manager who will provide critical administrative tasks, contract management, and budgetary guidance for pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs to increase the college's capacity to meet the need of 3,000 apprentices and journey-level workers annually in 50 different trades as well as development of college and community collaborations that support the local and state specific industry and trade standards. The Georgetown Campus of South Seattle College is Washington State's largest apprenticeship training institution.

Serving over 3,000 apprentices and students earning everything from short-term certificates and industry-recognized credentials to Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degrees, the Georgetown campus is known as the area's premier workforce education and training center. The Program Manager reports directly to the Georgetown Program Manager B. The Program Manager assists with pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship class building and fiscal support including contracts, invoicing, 3rd-party tuition, and oversight of budget expenditures for the Georgetown campus and North Seattle College apprenticeship programs.

This position coordinates, manages and implements administrative functions of the apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. The Program Manager A works the Executive Dean, Associate Dean and Pre-Apprenticeship Director and Georgetown staff to coordinate South Seattle College's apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs, both on and off-site. This position requires specialized knowledge of apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs and how they are adapted in the context of college wide standards and processes.

This position is governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with representation by WFSE and subject to union shop provisions. What you will be working on: Work with apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship partners to implement an instructional/quarterly calendar that meets the parameters for both partner programs and college requirements Work directly with apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship program deans, directors, and coordinators to ensure timely and efficient course building and quarterly scheduling in the State Board Community and Technical Colleges system data base known as ctcLink Input and maintain quarterly course schedules in the college's database Understand and work with District Accounting and Purchasing Offices for large purchasing services and equipment Process annual apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship contracts Coordinate with Enrollment Manager, Program Manager, and Pre-Apprenticeship to accurately process apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship quarterly invoices per program contracts and agreements Support administrative functions of North Seattle College's apprenticeship programs Problem solves, in coordination with Georgetown staff around student funding processes or issues Understand, interpret, and make recommendations on pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship academic coding Understand and maintain AFT contract parameters for all faculty-related processes Process invoices and coordinate repairs, equipment, etc. for instructional needs Represent department at meetings/events both on and off campus as needed for Budget & Finance Prepares budget request and expenditures for Pre-Apprenticeship Director and Executive Dean Georgetown lead for facilitating tuition payments covered by outside organizations or partners on behalf of student tuition or other expenses Review income/expense, statistical, and budget status reports and advise Executive Dean of financial status of programs and of problem areas Develop cost estimates, plans, and projects future program needs; develops budget requests or revisions and grant or contract proposals Approve proposed expenditures, requisitions, vouchers, personnel changes Financial/invoice/record keeping for all budgets and grants, Human Resources, Supervision, & Office Support Supervise the full-time Program Coordinator and part-time, hourly staff Oversee hourly billing position and/or other classified positions as hired that support all apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs as well as any short-term training programs Participates in personnel decisions involving classified, student, part-time staff Prepares and maintains administrative records, business reports, and supervise staff engaged in these tasks like Credit Card reconciliation/payment Coordinate office supplies orders with Program Coordinator Regular schedule 8:00am-4:30pm daily.

Hybrid modality coordinated with supervisor according to position and campus needs Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during peak times as directed by the Seattle Colleges policies What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience) A Bachelor's degree in a related field OR a combination of professional experience in a related field with supervisory and administrative experience Experience as office Manager And/or coordinating multiple administrative responsibilities Ability to meet critical deadlines and prioritize workload Strong commitment to working collaboratively with dean, college, district, partners Ability to work independently and without supervision Experience in program planning and fiscal record keeping Budget planning, monitoring and projection experience Evidence of ability to interpret detailed information and trouble-shoot, and problem solve Excellent verbal, listening, communication and customer service skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office products to implement job duties including Excel, Access, Outlook.
