Position Summary:
Penn Foster Group is looking for a highly experienced Program Manager to be the point of contact for all critical business functions related to our company's portfolio of Pharmacy Technician offerings.
The Program Manager has the industry credentials, knowledge, experience, vision, and proven capability to direct dynamic program implementation, development, and strategy, and will deliver market and competitor insights, career pathways, growth opportunities and industry trends. This role will strive to increase program success rates (completion rates, certification pass rates, learner satisfaction, employment outcomes) through collaboration with others within the company to ensure the highest quality content for our programs and a first-rate learner experience.
The Program Manager reports to the Healthcare Vertical Lead.
Essential Job Functions:
The Program Manager oversees the following areas:
Ensures curriculum teaches relevant skills to meet market needs, aligning to the proper industry credentials/certifications and accreditation requirements to achieve learner success.
Oversees program approvals related to certification, state boards, and ASHP accreditation – ensuring we maintain compliance.
As SME, guides curriculum, including new offerings and ongoing improvements and revisions through partnership with Learning Design and Development team.
Evaluates the effectiveness of current curriculum and recommend changes / updates based on industry standards, learner feedback, and quality experience guidelines.
Monitors certification pass rates and initiates action when improvements needed.
Partners with Vertical Lead to advise on portfolio optimization strategy by providing market and competitor insights, career pathways, growth opportunities and industry trends.
Manages and provides strategic oversight of advisory board(s)
Evaluates program/learner data and collaborates with learner-facing teams to identify and assess performance gaps and inform improvements to ensure successful learner journey.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must be a national certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and adhere to state regulations for licensure. License must be always maintained and current.
Have a minimum of an associate degree in Pharmacy Technician or a closely related discipline or hold an appropriate state teaching credential.
Minimum five years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Experience in education and distance learning highly preferred
Must be a current member of a national pharmacy or education association, and a state pharmacy association.
2+ years of hands-on experience with online learning or the development of online curriculum, Brightspace and/or Canvas LMS experience preferred.
Ability to conduct and translate market/user research and feedback into business objectives.
Clear, consistent communication skills to inspire and organize efforts across teams.
Ability to manage deliverables, priorities, and timelines.
Strong computer skills: Fully functional with Microsoft Office and online communication tools (instant messaging, live chat, forums, emails)
