Department Information

Housing and Residence Life is passionate about the Georgia Tech residential student experience. With 97% of all first-year students choosing to live on campus, we create spaces and opportunities for Yellow Jackets to grow and connect from their first day of college through their graduate studies. Our department is a large and complex organization supporting over 8,700 on-campus residents among 49 traditional halls, suites, and apartments, some of which were constructed for the 1996 Summer Olympics. Serve as the key point of contact for our office operations, seamlessly blending responsibilities ranging from front desk operations to overseeing cross-functional programs. Your days will be diverse, involving regular interaction with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. You will assist in training and mentoring student staff, managing projects from conception to completion, and providing support and guidance to foster a collaborative working environment.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 - Coordinate with internal and external clients in planning programs. Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, faculty, staff, and students; serve as liaison to appropriate campus business units, working to resolve operational matters; Liaise with key points of contact within the unit. Job Duty 2 - Develop and implement operating and administrative processes to manage the front desk(s) day-to-day business operations consistent with Institute policies; define and implement administrative duties; supervise performance of student staff and provide feedback. Manage HR functions for the student team: hiring, timekeeping, goals, and reviews. Job Duty 3 - Implement and execute a communications strategy to include Institutewide tools such as Slack, websites, landing pages, Sharepoint, Teams, AWS, regularly scheduled meetings, etc. Job Duty 4 - Ensure proper logistics, procedures, and support are in place for the successful operation of programs; conduct administrative activities associated with program operations such as procurement, records maintenance, compliance, meeting arrangements and minutes, and document preparation. Job Duty 5 - Collect, verify, analyze data, and communicate results. Prepare various reports and data submissions as necessary. Job Duty 6 - Develop and maintain relationships with campus partners and stakeholder groups; participate in strategic planning and ensure key objectives and milestones are implemented. Job Duty 7 - Oversight of creation and production for informational hang tags, custom maps, event signage, and graphics/text for marketing and various projects as needed in collaboration with the Business Development Manager. Job Duty 8 - Provide executive administrative management; responsible for housing activity space inquiries, reservations, and management to ensure a well-executed, highly complex schedule of daily activities. Job Duty 9 - Conference planning and event coordination as assigned, including but not limited to working with internal and external conference planning committees and external organizations who contract with GTCS, providing one-stop-shop service during all conferences. Job Duty 10 - Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Two to four years of job related experience
