Job Summary:
The Program Manager role provides project management, operational, and administrative support to the project implementation team, software project team, and the overall project manager. The role will focus on specific customer integration deliverables and/or sub-projects with scheduling, coordinating, organizing, data gathering, progress updating, recordkeeping, and reporting. Data quality in the PMR (Project Management Reports) will be a primary responsibility, requiring proactive multitasking and coordination across a diverse set of teams, geographies, time zones, and cultures. The Program Manager will make project and portfolio reports presentation-ready to ease the burden on the senior leadership to validate and harmonize communications.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
- Serving as Fortna's customer integrations Program Manager and primary point of contact and accountability regarding the planning, delivery, and quality of Fortna ustomer project implementation services.
- Scheduling and coordinating customer integrations project work and resource-leveling work plans.
- Attendance at various steering committee meetings, along with administrative support for recordkeeping and follow-up with both attendees and non-attendees.
- Reporting on status of existing projects following a standard PMO process.
Operational Management
- Ensuring the timely entry and updating of data by project team members.
- Drive successful timeline deliverables for all Customer Systems project implementation tasks and phases.
- Create and manage resource utilization within the customer integrations team and communicate scheduling updates with other teams.
- Validating project reporting before alerting project managers and sponsors of its availability.
- Coordinating various events in terms of facility, invitation, equipment, catering, and other logistics.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (must be able to be ascertained from the resume):
- Specific knowledge of Jira and various project and portfolio management platform(s) required.
- Extensive experience with guiding complex infrastructure related project implementations.
- Working technical knowledge of supply chain and distribution center related hardware and infrastructure.
- Agile and waterfall project methodology experience.
- Experience with managing multiple projects for multiple customer initiatives in parallel.
- Strong understanding of project and portfolio management techniques.
- Familiarity with the functioning of a PMO and steering committee.
Education and Experience:
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or project management, with three years' equivalent work experience.
- PMP Certification.

Physical Requirements:
- 40-hour hybrid (3 days onsite) work week with on-call availability for 4 days per month.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- When travelling to customer sites, essential requirements of this position may require physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment can vary from being relatively quiet, to moderate, to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn as necessary.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
Base Salary Range and Other Relevant Information:
The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $127,500. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
Travel Requirements:
- 20% travel could be required.
