As the Program Controls Analyst Intern you will gain experience in playing a highly visible role as part of the finance team in supporting multiple programs across sectors. This position will introduce you to BlueHalo culture and the BlueHalo team. You’ll have the opportunity to network with experienced executives and leading professionals. The goal of this internship position is to mentor and develop you so you will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent position with BlueHalo after the internship has ended.
Accepted applicant:
- Will assist project leads in planning, assigning, and reviewing financial details.
- Will perform regular reconciliations using Unanet and Microsoft Excel. Will investigate root-cause of errors discovered and will suggest and implement solutions to errors.
- Will run Unanet reports to support project and senior management needs on a weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis.
- Will monitor resource allocation and forecasts to mitigate financial overruns.
- Will interface with operations, accounting, contracts, and other departments.
- Prepare financial analyses and narratives.
- Maintain project records and documentation.
- Attend meetings and take notes.
- Assist project team members with various support tasks.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Basic to Intermediate
- Knowledge of and experience in the use of Unanet is helpful.
- Knowledge of contract types, DoD contracting and subcontracting activities is helpful.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Project Management.
