Purpose:
- Develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control
- Oversees a variety of professional assignments to provide a systematic review, analysis, interpretation and/or evaluation of budgets, cost, pricing, etc.

- Provides periodic estimating of sales, cost of sales and cash flow information
- Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions, forecasts and estimations for complex proposal efforts and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action
- Supports the requisition process for direct cost elements by ensuring the proper accounting classification of costs
- Performs in depth variance analyses for comparison to plans or prior estimates
- Participates in internal and external audits for assigned programs and proposals
- Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance
- Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly
- Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements
- Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts
- Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies
- Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, and operating forecasts
- Researches interpretation of financial policies, corporate policies, governmental regulations, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations
- Assists in the development of operating budgets, strategic plans, and other corporate financial requirements
- Prepares

- studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts
- economic reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements
- Earned Value baselines, associated planning and work authorization documentation, and develops Earned Value reports and associated analysis

Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major: Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
Years and area of experience (required for the role):
- 2-3 years of accounting/cost estimating work experience and 5-7 years related program finance experience and/or training
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of concepts, principles, practices and procedures of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
- Uses considerable independent judgment to make decisions in carrying out assignments
- Knowledge of financial management principles and practices
- Must have knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Strong problem solving unusually requiring originality and ingenuity, written and verbal communication skills and teamwork
