Job description

Salary: Please note that the salary is dependent on the officer's rank, years in service, and location of duty station.
This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC), Office of Deputy Assistant Director of Healthcare Compliance, Medical Quality Management Unit (MQMU). The incumbent will report directly to the Senior Compliance Program Administrator.

Qualifications: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  1. Must be a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, or in a Healthcare or Healthcare Administration related field and/or possess an advanced degree (e.g., MA, MS, MPH) from a recognized accredited institution.
  2. If the incumbent holds a clinical license, it is the responsibility of the incumbent to fulfill the obligation(s) of their licensing or certifying body to maintain current status. This position may be required to perform clinical activities with the scope of clinical license in times of critical needs within the agency.
  3. Three years of experience related to healthcare quality management, administration and/or health program management.
  4. Project Management certification; desired or able to obtain certification within one year of hire.
  5. Maintains clinical professional skills via continuing education opportunities and aid in temporary Duty support as needed.
  6. Maintains basic readiness status.
  7. Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
  8. Knowledge of ICE and IHSC, program policies and guidelines, operating procedures, and various departmental initiatives preferred.
  9. Ability to exercise a high degree of independence, initiative, judgment, and follow- through on a broad range of sensitive, complex administrative tasks.
  10. Flexibility and adaptability to sudden changes in schedules and work requirements.
  11. Ability to plan and prioritize workload and travel schedule in accordance with IHSC policies.
  12. Experience in national program development and implementation.
  13. Experience in data collection, analysis and determining accuracy and appropriateness of information based on policy and processes.
  14. Knowledge and skills in all Microsoft Office programs to include Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and SharePoint.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  1. Able to climb ladders and stairs.
  2. Able to carry 50 lbs. of medical equipment100 yards.
  3. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time [6-8 Hours].
  4. Performing repeated bending motion.
  5. Average manual dexterity for computer operation.
  6. Phone use for extended periods of time.
