This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Payment Integrity Center of Excellence Division. As a Program Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting analysis of a wide variety of check and Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) payments, returns, claims and other financial data in support of PICOE services provided to customers of the center.
Qualifications: You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience: For the GS-13 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes experience conducting analysis, interpreting, and applying rules, regulations, and policies related to a wide variety of payment/post payment processes and/ or banking procedures.
Examples of such experience could include:
-Experience processing and/or analyzing Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) payments, claims, or other financial data.
-Researching data and applying the rules, regulations and policies related to payment processes such as National Automated Clearinghouse Association (NACHA) Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) Rules, Green Book, Gold Book, and/or Regulation E.
-Experience overseeing the documentation and related analysis that spans payment and post payment systems and inter-related exception processes, procedures, and workflows.
-Experience gathering functional systems requirements from a variety of components/industry/business partners, including but not limited to Federal Agency, financial institution and internal users, to improve business processes.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
