SALARY: $46K- $52K
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, including the development and implementation of new programs. The Arts & EnrichmentProgram Administrator is responsible for supporting the Senior Director of Enrichment & Family Programs in the successful development, growth and management of the Theatre, Gymnastics, Birthday Party, Adult/Child, and Beyond the Bell departments, as well as camp. This position is also responsible for exercising sound judgment, assistance and support including budget development, policies, procedures and staff supervision. Assist with recruitment, training and support of assigned staff. Provide leadership in each program department, and serve as staff liaison to committee(s) as needed. In the absence of the Senior Director, the Program Administrator is prepared and able to fulfill needs as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with oversight and development of youth enrichment, arts, and family programs. Support implementation and management of day-to-day operations, including program promotion, growth and direct service delivery.
  • With the Senior Director, lead program development and implementation. Maintain accurate and complete records of all program participants. Specifically assists in the administration of the theatre and dance programs, adult/child classes, enrichment classes, Beyond the Bell afterschool enrichment, and summer camp.
  • Supervise frontline staff to ensure that program meets the quality standards of the YMCA, American Camp Association, and USA-Gymnastics. Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
  • Participate in regular program observations, ensuring that all quality and safety standards are met, and contributes to monthly reports of observations, needs and areas of improvement.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations and the school district.
  • Develops and monitors program budgets to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Delivers regular up-to-date communication to families, the school district, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication and provide leadership to frontline staff of the program. Model relationship-building skills in all interactions.
  • Participate, support the Annual Campaign, and play a key role in the campaign, particularly with event planning and facilitation.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Arts & Enrichment fields to enhance program quality and better support members and participants. Participate in workshops and conferences that will enhance professional growth.
  • Participate in required Branch and Association-wide activities and events.
  • Maintain and oversee all supplies for all programs which they have responsibility.
  • Attend scheduled committee and staff meetings as required by supervisor.
  • Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident reports as necessary.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested and necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in the Arts, Recreation, Education, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success and knowledge of quality Arts & Enrichment program practices.
  • One or more years of program management experience.
  • Preferred three years of experience directing, producing, or managing performing arts programming.
  • Preferred experience teaching dance and/or choreography.
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in business software and office equipment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assist in the facilitation of multi-site programs through supervision of staff, marketing and public relations, program development and fundraising.
  • Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations.
  • CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required (within 90 days of hire).
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
