How do you fit in?

The Profile Extrusion Operator is responsible for properly performing activities relative to efficiently operating the Profile Extrusion equipment, including setups, startups, teardowns and producing quality products.

• Requisition materials and supplies needed for each assigned machine according to Work Order.
• Ensure materials are properly mixed for job startup on determined machine.
• Perform setups, startups and teardowns on the machines.
• Ensure machines are running properly at maximum efficiently to produce a quality product.
• Ability to train other operators to become self-sufficient.
• Establish troubleshooting skills to keep uninterrupted workflow.
• Label and package finished product, and material to return to warehouse.

Do you have what it takes?

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports in English. Ability to speak effectively with company employees and supervisors in English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Knowledge or ability to learn the use of measuring devices, reading blueprints and identifying critical dimensions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong leadership and training skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and frequently move/manipulate heavy containers weighing up to 200 pounds while using a lift or hoist. The employee must frequently exert pressure to tighten and loosen bolts on die lip and die. The employee will be exposed to frequent bending, stooping and climbing.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seasonally and moderately exposed to humid conditions and heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, the risk of electrical shock and exposure to extreme molten plastic temperature. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
