Job Description
Under the guidance of the Director of Professional Services, this person will support Armor veterinarians and pharmacists, and function as a resource for on-farm services, develop and maintain training for staff, and producers in collaboration with veterinarians and staff the Regulatory Office. This person will work closely with Veterinarians, Pharmacists, Regulatory Team, Operations, Marketing and Sales Departments.
Primary Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Professional Services Technical Specialist: 50%
- Assist Veterinarians on-farm as needed, including necropsies, sample collection, etc.
- Promote API lab services to producers and third party vets
- Support Portland Lab services to expand business in other areas of the country
- Wash-up Analysis on Farms
- Milk Quality Analysis in farms
- Sanitation resource for producers and sales
- Hoof Health resource for producers and sales
Education Programs: 10%
- ANIMART U modules - develop in collaboration with vets.
- On-Farm Training module - develop in collaboration with vets.
Regulatory Office Responsibilities: 35%
- Veterinary Clinic Rx order entry
- VFD Processing
- Finalize Budgets from Armor Vets
- Handle 3rd party renewals
- Verifying 3rd party Vet Licenses
Third-party Vet Clinic Outreach: 5%
- Visit vet clinics to promote Armor partnership opportunities.
- Serve as point of collaborative contact between vet clinics
- Partner with sales in third-party vet outreach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Professionalism, initiative, reliability, leadership, teamwork, confidentiality and taking ownership and accountability are important attributes for this individual.
- 2 - 4-year degree or equivalent experience, agriculture or animal science background required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred. (CPhT)
- Certified Veterinary Technician preferred, but not required. (CVT)
- Demonstrated success in building relationships across the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills that help improve the bottom line and profitability of the company.
- Excellent telephone sales personality skills that project a warm, inviting, and trustworthy image.
- Ability to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including MS office suite.
- Ability to follow directions, prioritize work, make decisions, and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to speak/translate Spanish or other foreign language a plus.
- Positive attitude and approach, integrity, and responsible.
HOURS OF WORK:
- Full-time employment offering a competitive wage and full benefits package
- Salaried paid position - requiring occasional work on weekends, weeknights as needed.
