Salary Range $55,180-$72,985
Job Summary
The School Based Behavioral Health Therapist (SBBHT) is responsible for completing intakes, providing psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, individual and family psychotherapy, therapeutic behavioral support/case management, psychoeducation prevention services and consultation with school professionals, parents and students as needed. The SBBHT manages a diverse caseload and collaborates with persons served and other providers to assure that the mental, emotional, and psychosocial needs of clients are addressed. Services are primarily provided in the school/community/home with the availability of telehealth as clinically indicated.

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, or Counseling with a LSW/LISW or LPC/LPCC in good standing in the state of Ohio
  • A valid driver's license in the State of Ohio with access to an insured vehicle for client transportation. Must not have an 6 point violations and ability to obtain and maintain bodily injury/property coverage of $100,000/$300,000

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school personnel to identify students needing Behavioral Health services and facilitate the referral process.
  • Contact and meet parents/caregivers of children who have been referred for Behavioral Health services for the purpose of intake, consent to treat and psychiatric diagnostic evaluations.
  • Provide individual counseling, therapeutic behavioral support and parent guidance and family interventions.
  • Provide group counseling/therapeutic behavioral support/prevention groups as needed.
  • Integrate Behavioral Health with the client's health needs and refer for appropriate medical, dental, psychiatric and other psychosocial service needs.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of clinical documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for transporting clients
  • Meet productivity expectations.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. It requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Travel and work outside of normal hours may be required for meetings, presentations, trainings and other events.
