We build partnerships with our customers to provide customized Professional Development with Studies Weekly products to support effective implementation that results in learning and growth for all students.

The Professional Development Trainer is a critical collaborator in that partnership and is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating effective professional learning for educators across the country. The Professional Development Trainer will support and manage our customers' success with Studies Weekly including their initial onboarding and ongoing training in a variety of formats for diverse audiences including teachers, administrators, and parents. The ideal candidate has a lifelong passion for learning, a strong background in education and adult learning, is technology-savvy, and has strong customer and collegial relationship, communication, and Professional Development skills.

Essential Duties
Professional Development

  • The Professional Development Trainer is a critical partner supporting Professional Development in the sales region and will work closely with Regional Curriculum Coordinators and sales managers to schedule, implement, and review all PD in the area.

  • The Professional Development Trainer will collaborate with additional 1099 PD trainers in the region to support ongoing PD needs.

  • As a member of the Curriculum team, the Professional Development Trainer will help to create ongoing PD, resources, and training to support all SW products.

  • The Professional Development Trainer will Participate in personal PD to ensure current best practices and high impact strategies.

  • The Professional Development Trainer will invite teachers through PD to connect with Studies Weekly Facebook group and newsletter.

  • Support the development and delivery of National and Regional webinars as needed.

Sales

  • Work with the Professional Development Director, Regional Curriculum Coordinators, and Sales Regional Managers in identifying client success behaviors, priorities, and implementation plans for key customers.

  • Participate in relevant sales meetings, including but not limited to bi-weekly or weekly Regional Check-ins and morning sales calls.

  • Gather client feedback at key points of the client life-cycle to measure the client’s satisfaction on the success of its implementation.

  • Consult on the use of the product and best teaching strategies in alignment with the client’s strategic plan and initiatives by addressing needs, initiatives, and priorities.

  • Travel to client sites as needed to ensure implementation success.

Curriculum Team Member

  • As a member of the curriculum team, provide state-level expertise with standards alignment, correlations, frameworks, assessments.

  • Identify priorities aligned with state initiatives and testing.

  • Suggest essential content for the product development and implementation for your region.

  • Consult on special projects as needed based on expertise.

  • Gather ongoing artifacts and anecdotal stories, interviews of how teachers in the field are using the SW products. These can come from the district, school, students, parents, etc.

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in a K-12 classroom, with elementary and middle school experience preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, or equivalent experience. Master's degree in education, instructional design or a related field preferred.

  • Additional demonstrated experience in the management or delivery of Professional Development, managing change, and/or school administrative experience.

  • Demonstrated experience and connections with teachers, administrators throughout the education system within the sales region.

Physical Demands
The employee is required to talk and hear. Often, this position requires the employee to stand, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, ascend and descend stairs. Also to reach with arms and hands, and use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and manipulate keyboard keys. The employee is also required to lift up to 20 lbs. The employee is required to travel on company business by plane, car or other transportation.
