ROLE SUMMARY
As a Tool Crib Associate, you will be responsible for managing inventory in our Tool Crib Warehouse.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, store, and issue various materials, including oils, chemicals, and equipment.
- Sort and organize incoming items on shelves, racks, or bins.
- Maintain records of hand tools and equipment, inspecting returned tools for any damage.
- Conduct cycle and inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
- Enter and verify purchase requisitions in our ERP system, Odyssey.
- Create new codes for all new purchased items, whether inventory or non-inventory.
- Create purchase orders in ERP (Odyssey) and submit them for approval.
- Work with managers to maintain accurate inventory levels and help with purchasing new tools.
- Deliver oils, chemicals, packages, and production materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The tool crib is climate-controlled, but there may be occasional exposure to the production area, which can be noisy and hot, with fumes. There is also a risk of cuts and burns.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires physical exertion, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. You will regularly be required to sit, stand, and walk, and may occasionally need to bend or move about the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- You must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic mathematical skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, are required.
- You must be able to obtain MKC forklift certification.
- You must be able to use and understand micrometers, electronic indicators, dial calipers, and other precision gauges.
- Previous MRO experience is a plus.
