The 2nd ShiftProduction Training Specialist/Spanish Interpreter is part of the Human Resources Team and will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. The selected candidate will have a deep understanding of production, safety, and quality control, and will be responsible for training the production team in both English and Spanish.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities include:
- Assess training needs for new and existing employees. Explain the WHY behind what employees are doing.
- Identify training needs to close competency gaps for new employees. Start training lines.
- Explain and enforce safety policies and procedures with new and tenured employees.
- Point of contact on the plant floor for employee issues and questions on items such as payroll, attendance, employee relations concerns.
- Facilitate new hire Spanish orientation and serve as a backup for the English orientation. Conduct orientation plant tours.
- Collaborate with Operations on staffing needs and evaluate hourly talent.
- Track and report training outcomes.
- Monitor employee probationary periods.
Requirements:
- Availability to work OT/weekends as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two to three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a training or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs
- Strong organizational and time management skills
