Northrop Grumman - Cutting Edge Optronics (CEO) is looking for a highly motivated Production Test Technician. The Production Test Technician will perform operations associated with the testing of laser diode products. All work takes place in a team-oriented cleanroom. Responsibilities are subject to change dependent upon your personal experience/strengths and specific needs of Cutting Edge Optronics.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks related to the testing of laser diode assemblies.
- Conduct tests on product following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
- Lay out and assemble test apparatus according to designs and specifications.
- Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts as directed.
- Monitor and verify quality with statistical process or other control measures.
- Analyze test data, making computations as necessary, to determine test results.
- Read dials or meters to verify that equipment is functioning at specified levels.
- Position products, components, or parts for testing.
- Clean, maintain, calibrate, or repair measuring instruments or test equipment.
- Monitor machines that automatically measure or sort products.
- Record test results and pass/fail status based on specifications or standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Excellent fine motor skills, including the ability to handle small, fragile materials using tweezers.
- Comfortable wearing full cleanroom attire.
- Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to follow written operational procedures.
- Willingness and capability to learn new tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of optics.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of laser diode manufacturing.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and adjust to priority changes within a dynamic work environment.
- 2-year technical associate degree focusing on electronics and/or 3 years related experience.
