The Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Additional responsibilities include installation, repair, and maintenance of production equipment.
What you will be doing:
Equipment Maintenance
- Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
- Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
- Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
- May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers
Projects & Reporting
- Track and record all planned and unplanned maintenance activities and enter detailed records of the work completed
- Actively contributes to various internal teams with problem-solving activities as required
- Identify and communicate projects and ideas with engineering and supervisors to improve processes and effectiveness of machines or extrusions yields
- Supports and contributes to continuous improvement activities
- Assist manufacturing engineering with investigation of yield problems when related to production equipment
Other
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Attend all required company training
- Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager
Must have for this role:
- 3+ years' experience in electro-mechanical equipment repair in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude for chain or belt-driven equipment, gearboxes, and linear drives
- Troubleshooting of motor drives, relay logic, power supplies and temperature control units
Nice to have:
- Additional post-secondary technical training and applicable coursework are desirable and preferred
- Proficient project management skills
