Production Technician

The Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.  Additional responsibilities include installation, repair, and maintenance of production equipment.

What you will be doing:

Equipment Maintenance

• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers

Projects & Reporting

• Track and record all planned and unplanned maintenance activities and enter detailed records of the work completed
• Actively contributes to various internal teams with problem-solving activities as required
• Identify and communicate projects and ideas with engineering and supervisors to improve processes and effectiveness of machines or extrusions yields
• Supports and contributes to continuous improvement activities
• Assist manufacturing engineering with investigation of yield problems when related to production equipment

Other

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures 
• Attend all required company training
• Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager

Must have for this role:

• 3+ years' experience in electro-mechanical equipment repair in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude for chain or belt-driven equipment, gearboxes, and linear drives
• Troubleshooting of motor drives, relay logic, power supplies and temperature control units
   

Nice to have:

• Additional post-secondary technical training and applicable coursework are desirable and preferred
• Proficient project management skills
