Candidates applying must be able to work safely while performing a wide range of tasks that include stacking corrugated product, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean and organized work space. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safe, demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery and have a desire to advance within the company.
Responsibilities: Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific direction, operate power hand tools, and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
- Ability to lift, push or pull 50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
- Required to work daily overtime, weekend work and various shifts depending on your position.
- Locate, mount and remove tooling
- Feed sheets as needed
- Set-up feeder for each order
- Assist Operators A and B in making machine adjustments during the press run
- Make load tags for each order
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Complete quality checks throughout press runs
- Complete all paperwork as required
- Basic maintenance as directed
- Operate stacker as needed
- Operate in Operator B capacity as needed
- Complete all work orders within set goals for production and set-ups
- All aspects of quality including initial checks by supervisor and completing quality check list for all work envelopes
- Accurately label and store all "fall-off" and stock sheets
- Complete all paperwork/ computer work including timesheets and load tags
- Maintain acceptable levels of productivity
- Perform accurate and efficient set-ups
- Mount, remove and replace print plates
- Locate, produce and change out ink as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Complete quality checks throughout press runs, including all spectrophotometer readings
- Responsible for operating the machine efficiently
- Will be responsible for maintaining Lean initiatives on the United, including 5S
- Complete all paperwork as required
- Basic maintenance as directed
- Direct Operator B in completing daily duties
- Fill-in for Operator B as needed
- All other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentMilitary training and or Technical School preferred
