Job Summary:
Quality control inspectors make sure that product meets quality and safety standards specified in the customer floor drawings.
Essential Duties:
The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the General Manager. Job duties may change as required by needs of company.
- Performs final inspections and final product audits on finished product prior to shipment to the customer to ensure that product requirements specified on manufacturing documentation are met.
- Documents final inspection and final product audit results on quality system forms.
- Documents nonconforming materials and products on Nonconformance Reports and ensures that nonconforming materials and products are controlled as required by quality system requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, Minimum one (1) year in manufacturing environment.
§ Ability to interpret product requirements from quality system procedures, work instructions, other program documentation, and customer part drawings.
§ Ability to measure part characteristics with calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment and to record data on program final inspection forms.
§ Ability to use basic math principles to calculate statistical process control (SPC) data and to plot measured data on SPC charts when required.
§ The candidate must demonstrate the ability to interpret data and take necessary response actions, such as initiating Nonconformance Reports and controlling nonconforming product, when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour
