Job Summary:

As a Production Support Specialist you will improve product quality, velocity, and cost by providing assistance to the assigned department in the form of data analysis, problem solving, and work validation.

What you will do:

• Perform final inspection product utilizing check sheets to identify potential quality defects or customer concerns prior to shipment
• Utilize inspection tools and standard work to preform inspection on daily basis
• Support Caterpillar Production System continuous improvement activities
• Document inspection results in required systems
• Preform basic investigation of defects for proper assignment
• Capture defect photos and final inspection photos
• Execute containments as required communicate results
• Execute special studies as directed by Section Managers to understand line performance

What you will have:

• Intermediate written and verbal communication
• Intermediate analytical skills
• Must have intermediate Microsoft Office Skills
• Intermediate Plex experience
• Intermediate knowledge of products and assembly tools

What would make you a top candidate:

• Intermediate knowledge of Plex Rejection System and coding
• Intermediate proficiency in reading and interpreting Caterpillar Prints/EPIX/Teamcenter
• Intermediate proficiency in the Caterpillar BIQ Process

Additional Information:

• Pay rate: $20.35 an hour including 2nd Shift premium
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday 4:42pm - 3:12am
• Must train on first shift for 2 weeks

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods

• Ability to pull static torque including but not limited to 800 Nms.

• Ability to perform repetitive operations

• Ability to lift to 35 lbs.
