This is a key role within the Landover Management team and will be responsible for improving and sustaining world class Manufacturing standards, systems and procedures that will drive the necessary activities required to achieve the site's vision of becoming the" best in class" in the USA as well as a supplier and employer of choice.
This role will lead a team of leads and production operators to achieve high levels of productivity and throughput through the proactive utilization of Lean Manufacturing principles to maintain the competitiveness of the business in the global marketplace. This is achieved by encouraging and fostering LEAN manufacturing techniques, including 5S, Gemba Walks, and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement in operations utilizing the RedZone production system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Facilitate personnel and food safety. A leader for compliance to EOC health, safety and food safety policies and procedures, as well as identifying and reporting hazards.
- Supervise, train and mentor to build an effective production team through effective leadership, team building, collaboration, and communication.
- Lead and conduct Root cause analysis of process and machinery operating issues to eliminate re-occurring stoppages and material waste.
- Based on the weekly production schedule, create the Daily / Weekly Roasting, Grinding and Packaging Schedule (The Production Plan) and execute.
- Identify, coordinate, and execute improvement opportunities in line with key performance indicators to enable continuous improvement across the facility.
- Ensure compliance to all EOC Production standards, Food Safety, OSHA and company Safety standards, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Functions as primary plant contact when operating as the single supervisor on site.
- Knowledge of the production process from Receiving to Shipping with emphasis on Roasting / Grinding / Transportation and Packaging.
- Track and trend production KPIs and design/re-design processes to eliminate root causes.
- Establish, improve, and sustain effective change management procedures and policies.
- Establish, improve, and sustain SOPs for exiting for all processes at the site.
- Establish, improve, and sustain a lean/agile manufacturing and CI culture within the production and maintenance team.

Education & Professional Qualifications
- ideally a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Management.
- 3 years relevant experience in a fast-moving consumer products or related manufacturing environment with emphasis and experience with hi-speed packaging equipment and process controls.

- Coaching and development of the production team to ensure 'buy in' and asset ownership for the product Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Productivity of the site.
