ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1) Plan, schedule, and supervise the work of department employees.
2) Inspect work progress and perform frequent checks to insure that maximum quality levels and satisfactory quantity levels are maintained.
3) Instruct and train employees in the proper performance of their work, including skills necessary for advancement.
4) Prepare and maintain records and reports.
5) Maintain and account for labor and material costs on jobs, department tools, equipment, and materials.
6) Responsible for maintaining a productive and cooperative work climate with employees. Responsible for company tools, employee safety, and job costs.
Support the System Safety Process by developing, maintaining, and reinforcing safe work conditions. Enforce safety rules and procedures to assure safety work behaviors. Administer safety training to all assigned employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in technical field or equivalent applied knowledge (see experience).
Experience: Bachelor's and 4 years of power plant experience; or Associate's degree and 6 years' power plant experience; or high school diploma/GED and 8 years of power plant experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Physical demand level is Sedentary
INITIAL POSITION / BASE SALARY FUNDING: ($94,225 - $122,491). In addition to base salary, AEP offers competitive Total Rewards including: discretionary annual incentive, 401(k), pension, health insurance, vacation, etc.
