Job Summary:
- Lead and manage the production team members providing guidance, coaching and support; fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication and modeling core value behaviors.
- Plan and maintain production workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, monitoring personnel and resources, implementing cost reductions and facilitating changes as necessary.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel to increase workflow, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production.
- Anticipates bottlenecks, clarifies project priorities, identifies risks, and escalates issues that cannot be internally resolved. Clearly defines all workflows, communicates documented processes, and ensures all practices are being refined and tuned with learnings.
- Ensure staffing levels are adequate and weekly production goals are met. (This is measured in scheduled hours)
- Work with leads to ensure team members are properly assigned by role and skillset.
- Implement processes to ensure team members are meeting high quality expectations and lean principles.
- Build a high performing team; providing leadership, mentorship, and development to team members and establishing and creating key performance indicators for the production functions through daily check ins.
- Work closely with maintenance technician to ensure all production equipment is maintained.
- Responsible for making sure all team members are meeting safety standards and expectations. Document employee safety misconducts and coach as opportunities arise.
- Manage attendance including approving PTO and fill out quarterly scorecards.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 5-8 years of production or manufacturing supervisory leader experience
Required Skills:
- Bilingual or willing to learn Spanish.
- Must be knowledgeable of lean manufacturing principles.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence
- Must have a strong level of computer literacy using Monday.com for scheduling and ninety.com for EOS.
- Passion for innovative solutions and process improvement?.
- Must be able to stay composed and adaptable in a changing environment
- Has a hands-on approach.
- Experience with a fast paced work environment.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner, interfacing and influencing all levels.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead and coach others for personal and professional development.
