The successful associate will lead a shift of 5-6 associates in our Extrusion Department. The Shift Supervisor must be a leader and have the knowledge and experience to oversee production and the process along with leadership skills to guide and train his or her team. He or she is responsible for overseeing the daily operations which include manufacturing, processing and packaging of finished products and materials, and is responsible for employee performance during their shift to ensure that all standards and policies are met at all times.
General Responsibilities and tasks include but not limited to:
- Motivate and direct team to superior job performance.
- Upholds “Safety First” mindset at all times
- Ensures all company policies, procedures and standards are communicated effectively, maintained and followed.
- Organizes work throughout the facility while performing and directing others to complete operational tasks
- Assign personnel to their respective lines and job tasks for that day.
- Complete production paperwork for shift.
- Hold effective shift huddles and cover breaks
- Oversee that all personnel are dressed appropriately with the correct PPE and ensuring associates are following the Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Supervise all elements of the production operations.
- Assure quality of the film being produced meets the company standards and customer specifications.
- Assure all lines are manned at all times to consistently monitor proper film production.
- Thoroughly communicates with next shift for shift change
- Provides documentation for all attendance and counseling sessions
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to work cohesively with peers and and to motivate associates while maintaining a cohesive team.
- To preform job functions with attention to detail, sense of urgency and accuracy, while working in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritizes and delegate work with follow through.
- Must have minimal mechanical aptitude for basic machinery.
- Should have some mechanical training.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
