Salary: $74,929 - $86,050 DOE

Medical benefits-eligible first of the month following 28 days of employment. All other benefits-eligible first of the month following 90 days of employment.

Position Overview: The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture beverages. The Production Supervisor develops methods to utilize personnel and resources in the best possible ways and determine whether overtime is needed for certain projects. The Production Supervisor assists in developing more cost-effective processes and reducing waste while also increasing productivity and employee satisfaction.

Language Skills: English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations.
  • Plans, monitors, and appraises job results, as well as coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees as needed.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment.
  • Monitors personnel and resources.
  • Implements cost reductions.
  • Develops reporting procedures and systems, and facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points.
  • Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, safety procedures, equipment, and resources.
  • Maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders.
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Assists employees in completion of job duties when needed.
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, coworkers, and management.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
