Job description
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the assembly of our products. You will be responsible for assuring that all production personnel perform their roles efficiently and in accord with industry best practices, resulting in cost-effective production of products that meet our well-defined high-quality standards.
We expect you to have a deep know-how in industry best practices regarding assembly of automotive manufacturing. Your ability to earn the respect of your workforce and thereby to create and maintain a culture dedicated to consistent high-quality and high productivity will be both required and well rewarded.
Responsibilities
· Spending substantially all your time on the production floor
· Develop, oversee, and adhere production deadlines and sales promise dates
· Identifying and addressing opportunities to increase productivity (including improved workflows, tools, and techniques) and to reduce the risk of accidents
· Implementing improved production methods, including Lean, Six Sigma principles
*Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training of production associates
· Creating and enforcing production-related SOPs and Work Instructions
· Training workers and holding them accountable for compliance with administrative and safety rules as well as production-related SOPs and Work Instructions
*Report daily and weekly accomplishments, obstacles, and goals to the President
· Routinely evaluating production worker performance as part of a financially significant incentive compensation plan for production workers and to continuously upgrade performance of our workforce
· Approving daily time reports for production workers
*Maintain and uphold an organized, clean, and safe facility
*Maintain accurate production metrics in ERP
*Review and approve parts for assembly of vehicles with a strong understanding of vehicle needs plus profit margins
*Understand, uphold, and motivate team members on delivering quality products
*Evaluate and provide final approvals during Quality Inspection stage
Requirements
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role and Automotive Manufacturing
*Extensive knowledge of automotive components
*Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting non-operational components
*Ability to identify solutions for mechanical and technical component issues
· Ability to deliver results
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· High energy levels and stamina
· Ability to stand in manufacturing plant environment, lift to 30 lbs., walk at reasonably high rates of speed from location-to-location within plant
· Ability to use computer applications such as ERP and Microsoft Office
