Job Title

2nd Shift Production Floor Supervisor


Reports To

Warehouse Manager

Summary

The Production Floor Supervisoris responsible for assisting with the safe day-to-day operations at a Worldwide Foam location. They are responsible for overseeing and coordinating production operations during the second shift, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and adherence to company policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements. This individual works closely with other shift supervisors and plant managers to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and maintain continuous production flow.


Essential Functions

Organize and set daily production schedules to meet goals and standards.

Monitor production workflow for all production lines, adjust schedules as needed, and manage the execution of the day's production numbers.

Supervise production to achieve quality standards and the highest output

Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.

Ability to provide constructive feedback, and coach and train employees to develop their skills, promoting a positive work environment.

Always monitor and enforce strict safety guidelines on production floor

Evaluate various stations of production to ensure optimum efficiency.

Maintain communication between employees and management to understand procedures and policies well.

Ensure the flow and correct usage of raw materials and other resources.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process changes that will improve quality, productivity, efficiency, and safety.

Process end-of-day production paperwork.

Work environment

  • Work inside or outside year-round. There is exposure to dirt, dust, rain, noise, equipment, and vibrations.
  • PPE is required and will be provided

Physical Demands

This is a working supervisor position and there are times some physical labor is required.

Must be able to be on feet majority of the workday

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. (Team Lift above 30 lbs.)


Supervisory Responsibilities

Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.

Manage shift time and attendance by following company processes and policies

Planning and organizing production schedules/teams

Ability to mediate/supervise


Travel required

Required education and experience

High school diploma/GED required

Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a proven track record in a supervisory role

Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.

  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Preferred education and experience

ISO Experience preferred

Degree in Business Management, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), and experience with manufacturing software systems.

Forklift experience preferred (will train/ certify on site)
