Job Description:
Intravision Greens USA role for a Production Specialist to support our NJ indoor vertical farming facility. This role applies knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, Inventory Control, and product compliance to manage all aspects of crop production, and plant growth production. This role will report to the farm Plant Manager. This role shall recommend strategies for process improvement, saving costs and energy, oversee and schedule sub-contractor maintenance personnel, and collaborates with the Head Grower, Production Supervisor, and Sanitizer Technician to maintain the performance of a closed-loop controlled environment and hydroponics-based GravityFlow System, Food and Safety certification requirements, Audits and all tours.
The Planner/Scheduler is expected to embrace challenges, be passionate about growing plants in a safe environment, and always finds ways to automate and improve the process of logistics, planning, and scheduling. This opportunity is to be part of a team in its early stages of making vertical farming a significant contributor to how food is grown for a growing population. This is a salaried, full-time position. Salary based on your experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Everyday Production planning, including long-term plans and day-to-day execution of the plan
- Continuous process, planning, and scheduling of seeding and transplanting of Production and Harvesting teams.
- Coordinate, schedule, and plan regular testing, calibration, and replacement of environmental sensors for temperature, humidity, airflow, CO2, light intensity/spectrum, water flow/level, pH, and electrical conductivity
- Coordinate, schedule, and plan calibration of industrial/analytical balances, metal detectors, and surveillance cameras
- Coordinate and support all logistics of imported and exported parts along with plant and project management
- Contacting vendors and acquiring quotes for installation
- Periodic travel to deliver samples to local food safety laboratories.
- Serve as contact person for all laboratory results and be responsible for immediately holding any pallet with positive results, retesting before and after cases/pallets (if necessary), and releasing all approved pallets for shipment within 24 hours.
- Calibration of industrial/analytical balances, metal detectors, and surveillance cameras
- Contacting vendors and acquiring quotes for maintenance work, special projects, and services.
- Collaborating with the Head Grower, Production Supervisor and Plant Manager as needed
- Coordinate and schedule all tours, plant visits and investment meetings.
- Shall provide additional production support with Gravity Flow and Germination equipment, control HMIs, HVAC system and overall plant systems as needed
- Shall provide additional equipment troubleshooting and repair escalation when necessary.
- Shall provide customer and supplier planning and scheduling as necessary
- Coordinate and support all order management, correspondence, and invoice management
- Shall be a member of the plant disciplinary committe
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
